Formerly shortcircuits_fitness now called Marsha Hughes Workouts! I'm a 50+ mom of four, and for the past thirty years, have dedicated my life to helping people feel better about themselves through exercise, mindfulness and appropriate nutrition. I created this channel for people who want to get in shape, get in better shape, or want to stay in shape at any age. (Please check with your doctor before starting an exercise program.)
I use a wide variety of equipment including dumbbells, kettlebells, the medicine ball, STEP, BOSU, TRX, TerraCore and more. Many of my workouts don't require any equipment at all! These bodyweight-only exercises are challenging, innovative and tons of "fun"!

Note to self: Round 2 starts 15m51 (for those who just want to get on with it and not watch round 1 where Marsha teaches the moves).
That reverse crunch, come on. Ouch.
Very good moves for a warmup. However, that KB is really too light to do a proper swing. Your arms should only be pendulums that hold the bell while it swings. when your arms come down into contat with your upper body, the hips should POP forward throwing your arms, and thus the KB, forward. As the arms are coming into contact with the upper body, the upper body should hinge forward at the hips and the knees bend only slightly. See Mark Wildman or Lebe Stark, both on RUclips, for instructions. However, I believe that with a KB as light as the one you are using, it's impossible to do a swing with proper form, Not enough 'gravity' and not enough momentum.
Just a reminder you don't need a gym membership to get fit. You can do this at home and you don't even need a medicine ball. Fill a gallon of an empty milk container or water container with water and you are good to go. Thank you Marsh for giving us the moves!
You are totally inspirational, I have just turned 60 and thought I should get in shape so I'm playing with 25kg on a bar to start with. I know I will never be able to do your full work out but I will do less repetitions on all your lifts. Great video!

Appreciate the different views of the positioning, but for beginners, it would be better or more useful to have ONE angle for a time period to actually learn the proper positioning. It’s very hard to pause to see your form and technique while moving thru the routine.

Hi Coach Marsha ma'am! Is this also for men? I am a man and did this with my mother-in-law but it was brutal! I did not last 3 minutes and completely gave up 😟 My MIL did this full lesson powerfully like you and then repeated the full lesson again!! She have those rock hard abs in the front stomach and the rock hard obliques in the stomach sides also. I feel really low and defeated.
You make it look amazing! Have a ways to go to get my butt in gear, appreciate the solid quick workouts like this to get there. I’ll be dropping this one right on there with a few other faves. 🙌🏼

Just realized how tight my thighs are🤣and one other thing. If you are unable to reach you foot with the leg completely stretched try using an elastic band. This was the only way I could keep my leg stretched.
